breakin' it down

wow guys and gals, first of all, thanks for all the love from my last post.  Once again, I was shocked to learn how many out there actually read my blog, so thanks!  I love all your comments.

Last night I ran a 5k in the early evening, ugh.... dark at 5pm.  I just got back from another 5k'ish run, and thought I'd share with you all how I broke this one down. Tonight is the Kris Kringle with my running group, potluck style, lots of food, drinks and laughs I'm sure.  With that being said:

Km 1 -- this km was dedicated to the Pomtini (or two) I will have
Km 2 -- for the guacamole and tortillas I saw on the menu
Km 3 -- yum, garlic bread
Km 4 -- I have been craving cheesecake for the longest time
KM 5 -- can you pass the pizza please?

The .3 tacked onto the end of my run was "just in case".  What do you mean?  Come on, you're telling me you don't run to be able to eat all these treats?!  Really?  I may have to reassess this running thing.  Kidding.  But seriously, I will be having a Pomtini.

My son is coming with me tonight, once he sees how crazy we all are, not sure he'll ever partake in a running group, or running at all for that matter. LOL

What a great thing to get your son involved in! Good luck with all the food. Personally, I'd eat every single thing on your list!

Maybe this will sound weird since I don't even know you outside of blogdom, but I HAVE been thinking about your bones and am filled with happiness for you now as I read through your posts and the results of your bone density test. Maybe it's because when you talk about running, I feel like you give voice to what I feel about it? Anyway, pizza, cheesecake, garlic break, Pomtinis-- yum! Time to celebrate. :)

HAHAHA! I know what you mean, what I can't eat all thisIi just ran... Have fun this evening and hope the son enjoys it.

I am off to google pomtini, have not a clue what that is.

Sounds great! I would love to have a running party where we go for a run and they eat to compensate - well done!

Know what you mean about the food/run connection. Running has allowed me to eat a small piece of cheesecake everyday since Thanksgiving. We already pulled the slices we froze out of the freezer! Enjoy your party!

Your blog is cool, and I think your association with wellsphere is very impressive as well. I just joined Wellsphere so we are no now associates. Rock it!

I have never been one to worry about what I eat too much. It's always fairly healthy stuff anyway. Pizza is my favourite thing of all time! I could eat it anytime of day. Even now.

Isn't it weird that we run and push ourselves..so we can eat more! I know I do it, but I think it's weird!

I like the way you're thinking Melanie lol

I often do that when I run too, well when I bike and swim now!

It's all about the food!
2 of my 3 kids have starting running with me due to watching me run and my nonstop conversations about running.
I think your son will join someday. Give it time..
