down to hours

Sitting here having some yogurt, granola, water, watching the rain pour, listening to the thunder rolling, can help but be thankful for showers today and not tomorrow!

Last night I went to the expo with Terron, he was totally into all the freebies!  Ran into Marlene and her hubby who are both running the half, and Emily, who I had never met, but recognized from her blog, and had been tipped off from Marci that she might bet there.  I also met up with the two girls from my running group who are also doing their first full.

Purchased two shirts, Terron became hugely interested in a kids triathlon program after being handed a pamphlet, and I realized that my bib has my name on it! This will be my first race with my name on my bib.  Is this in case I forget who I am by the time I cross the line?

I realized yesterday that Thursday, May 7th was my 2 year anniversary of running. Two years ago that I bought the Nike+ kit, and started a brand new addiction to running, the one that replaced smoking.

I expected that tonight will be a tough night to sleep, but didn't anticipate it last night as well. I tossed, turned, dreamt of running, opened my eyes to be sure I hadn't missed the race.  My stomach is uneasy right now, faint little butterflies as the days column in the counter now shows zeros and there are only hours, minutes and seconds left for my ultimate dream goal when I started running becomes real.

Great bumping in to you yesterday. Awesome that T. took an interest in the kids' tri. I can see him following in his Mom's footsteps already.

Take it easy today. You're ready for this!

I'm so excited for you!! I didn't get much sleep the night before my full either. Too much adrenaline. I love when they put your name on the bib. People shout out your name to cheer you on and you forget that it's on your bib and question, "how do they know me??" Hee...

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!!! Have fun with it!!!
