Tomorrow is National Running Day and obviously I can't partake... but you can! Anyone willing to donate or add a km/mile for me? :D Let's see how many I can accumulate on this one day while following doctor's orders and not running (...not that I would have tried anyway, since running with crutches just wouldn't look right).

Mel, first let me express how bad I feel for you and your injury. I have been away too long and didn't realize what you've been going through since your marathon. I hope you heal up as fast as possible and get back to running soon! And keep up that swimming - I try to go twice a week and have been letting it slip. Perhaps your experience will be the kick in the butt I need to keep going throughout the summer.
And second, thank you for the comment on my last post. I wonder if the guy who qualified for Boston using the run/walk method actually run/walked in the race itself? It's all very interesting and I am curious to know how it actually works, especially for people who tend to be on the competitive side. (Although I am not THAT fast I cannot break from my competitive instincts and always want to go faster.)

That's pretty cool that he ran/walked the race itself. Imagine the discipline required to hold yourself back like that and then run like crazy. Very cool. Thanks!
