I hear Terron's voice talking to one of the neighbors, voice a bit familiar, and like any mother would, instinct kicks in... I listen to make sure all is ok.
Guy: Well, Jay plays football and hockey right?
Terron: Yes, but my mom rides, bikes and swims. She's training for a triathlon.
Guy: Really? Wow, that's impressive! I thought I saw her packing her bike in the car one day.
Terron: Yes, and my mom is going to teach me how to do a triathlon too, and registered me for one for the day after my birthday! She's pretty cool.
Whoo hoo! So far I'm still making the cut as a 'pretty cool' mom!

I think it is great to inspire and motivate kids, especially your own, you are doing great as a "cool" mom in my book. This weekend at the Huronia they had kids of steel, and it was so great to see kids in action, and I think it means that much more to them if their parents kick butt as well!
