Thanks to running, I've made friends, local and virtual, but never thought I'd have the opportunity to meet someone from so far away! So thank you running, and THANK YOU Damian for adding Toronto to your itinerary to visit me! There were a lot of laughs, I've learned how to properly pronounce Melbourne, learned about Melbourne hook, the Melbourne shuffle, and vegemite! We walked for miles, chatted with his parents via Skype back home, hi again!! We talked endlessly about the differences and similarities between our countries, and I had to try really hard to fight the tears tonight...sorry, eh. lol I have such a hard time saying good bye, so we agreed on a 'See you again'.
So Damian, See you again, and enjoy New York!
If you haven't checked out Tall Mom on the Run's giveaway, go now!!

It is so cool meeting up with blogger, it really is great to have so many friends abroad!
I agree, "goodbyes" do suck! Sounds like you had fun though! :)
Isn't it completely cool how through blogging and the Internet we can make such good friends?
Saying goodbye sucks...but worse would be if you'd never had the opportunity to say "Hello." :-)
Agree that "See ya soon again" is so much better than "good-bye". Maybe you should come and visit us downunder? :-)
What a lovely post! How terrific for Damien to come and visit and for you to extend such gorgeous hospitality! So you're saying "Mel-bun" now instead of "Mel-boooorne"?
What do you think of Vegemite? It's like mother's milk to me: I barely have a day go by that doesn't somehow involve Vegemite. It needs to be with butter or marg, but my god, it's heaven. I was talking to a colleague at work the other day about it and actually confessed that if I have children one day that don't like it, that could cause problems in our relationship :).
Yay to blogging buddies from Canada and Australia (and the US and England and on and on..)
That's why I ALWAYS say, "See you later" instead of "goodbye" ;)
ZOMG, sistre!1! You and Damian did it, didn't you? You "skyped" each other!
(Is that what the kids're calling it these days? "Skyping"? As in, "Tonight I hope to get lucky, so I'm wearing my 'Skype Me' pumps and my sexiest thong!")
Wow. How unCanadian of you.
What a great opportunity to meet each other-this world is smaller than we think!
Good-byes are no fun, but I'm sure you will see each other again! Sounds like a great experience!
Sounds like an awesome visit! Yup, it's your turn to visit!
Leave it to G! That rocks. I just met a few fellow bloggers a short while ago - it's this weird, I know you but I dont' know you thing. Very cool.
I'll get to CA one day;)
