Dear Mother Nature,
Yes, I admit I laughed at Marci's post last week about us never being happy with the weather... but by then I already noticed the trend. In fact, if you've been reading my Facebook status updates almost every Tuesday since I started cycling with the group, you're well aware that I know what you're up to. I was even told to 'toughen up Princess..." by a good friend! LOL And yes, I posted about the downpour you unleashed on us last Tuesday!
Turn the page! Seems like you're stuck... try something new!! Change is good!
Look, I could be the type to sit on the couch, inside, watching tv, not enjoying all you have to offer. But instead, I've decided to do quite the opposite... running outside instead of on a treadmill, road cycling rather than on a stationary bike, even swimming in a lake that hasn't had to opportunity to warm up much past what seems to be freezing because of your unseasonably cool summer!
Don't get me wrong... until recently, you have spared us the humidity, I know we all appreciate that, especially with the 6 week garbage strike... that would have made matters worse for Torontonians (thankfully I'm a short distance north of the city limits...and wasn't affected.)

But seriously?? Another forecast with rain on a Tuesday, and clear the rest of the week?
If it's the practice you're trying to give me... riding in the rain... cuz you never know, it could be raining on race day, thanks, I've had enough, you can now turn off the tap. Let me instead keep working on my farmer's tan on my legs and arms from my cycling shorts and socks and jersey...
Thanks for the severe thunderstorm warning too... ugh.

Signed,
Drenched

Not again!! Here's hoping the thunderstorm blows over BEFORE your ride, or skips us all together.
I almost cried when I saw the forecasted humidity this week. It's calling for 41 (with humidity) on Sunday. You want me to run 30K in that? Help.

Hee. You're funny. Think of it as resistance training. You're going to be so much lighter on race day without 10lbs of soaking clothes to haul around.
I have a tempo run at 3pm today and I can only laugh when i watch the weather network. Toonie sized hail!!
I hear ya! I'm all for running in the rain, but this is getting to be a daily occurrence!
Oh, that's just wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong!
I hope it is clear for your group!
Mel: thanks for the comment! And according to the radar forecast you might be able to bike relatively dry tonight. The rain should be past us after about 4:30 - 5:00pm. Here's hoping you get a nice bike ride in!
Calgary is no better this week. Temps 10-14 deg and pouring rain every day this week. I hate being outside in the rain... Guess I'll have to get over it too!
That is kind of hilarious that it only has rain for Tuesday. Some one up high is messing with you!
Stay dry my friend.
LOL!!!!!!! Signed, Drenched. hehehe.
Ha! I hope mother nature shapes up for you one of these days.....
That is just too funny (but a bummer) that it only rains on Tuesdays!
Oh boy! I hope it doesn't come true.
It's been such a weird season too! We just had our first really hot day and it's AUGUST in the south for crying out loud!!! Weird.
I always have to have a plan B, a swim bag packed or something. Rides can be washed out at any moment lately here too. BLOWS!
Are you starting a petition about this crappy weather? Because I will absolutely sign it!!
Sigh ... as my mother would say, "Get out there -- you're not made of sugar." Um, thanks, Mom.
We must pray to the same Mother Nature. Lots of rain and cool temps this Summer in North Jersey too! BTW, thanks for your comments, congrats etc on my race!!
So, did you get poured on tonight? Hope Mother Nature cooperates soon.
Mother Nature is messing with all of us this year. I hope you were able to stay dry tonight.
Hee hee, I just posted this kind of post tonight too! Luckily our weather here in BC has been pretty good lately. In fact, I find myself praying for a bit of rain here and there!
Hmm well you could of had our weather; 100f at 5pm tonight...I guess the grass is always greener!
Don't mess with the bitch! Mother Nature rules us all!
At first I was like, nice temps....because I love cold weather, but then I came to the conclusion that those must be not be your basic Fahrenheit temps! Yes...I am blond!
Maybe you haven't toughened up enough yet ;)
Signed,
Mother Nature
hope you were able to get in a ride! i have given in to the treadmill many times when it was rainy and all the weather sources called for t-storms. then of course i'm running inside and it never storms... go figure.
one day it will be sunny, 90* and 99% humidity and we will still complain ;) at least it's cool-ish?
Sistre, did you know Mother Nature's maiden name is "F*cker"?
Tells you all you need to know: Mother F*cker comes from a loooong line of F*ckers: Papa D*ck; Mama Vajango; cousin Pig; etc.
DSL, B*TCHES!1! (<--- My new sign off! Did I mention that I, too, am a bit of a F*cker?)
